At present, China is vigorously implementing the construction of strong smart grid, and the power grid information construction as an important support of smart grid has been fully developed. Early in May,2010, State Grid Corporation (SGC) has proposed that the GIS spatial information service platform construction of power grid should be carried out, which can achieve the structural management and graphical presentation of power grid resources within the SG186 project integrated platform, and provide grid images and analysis service function for all kinds of business applications. The key of platform construction is the data preparation of grid GIS in the system database. The acquisition and quality control of the grid GIS data have been an essential part of the data preparation of power grid enterprises, as well as the bottleneck of restricting the data acquisition speed. Therefore, this thesis puts forward the research of establishing grid GIS data acquisition and quality control system.First, this thesis states the background, domestic and overseas studies of establishing the grid GIS data acquisition and quality control system. Meanwhile, the current situation and the grid GIS data acquisition as well as its quality control problems have also been analyzed thoroughly. Then, this thesis deeply discusses the basic theory and methods of GIS data acquisition. Based on the analysis and attribute extraction from the existing PMS system data of state grid enterprises, and correlating the field data acquisition with the PMS system data, this thesis raises a construction solutions of grid GIS data acquisition and quality control that the system can automatically process the data and control the quality. The accomplishment of this system research finally achieves the automatic processing of grid GIS data, including data acquisition, data preparation, data verification and the subsequent quality evaluation, effectively improving the data preparation’s management level and efficiency of the grid GIS spatial information service platform construction. The success and spread of this system research will make great significance for the information construction of strong smart grid.
