Distribution automation system is not only an essential tool for improving the level of distribution system management and power supply reliability, but also an important foundation for the strong power grid construction. The concept of strong smart grid gives new meanings to distribution automation, and puts forward new requests at the same time. In order to follow the new trends in grid system and the ctual requirements for the development of China power grid, the constructio of distribution automation system of Dongying City should be carried out.By investigating the current situation of Dongying power distribution network, eastern district which meet the requirements is selected as the pilot area for the construction of distribution automation system. Based on the detailed analysis of the current situation of primary grid structure and equipments, the problems of Dongying power distribution network is proposed. In order to determine the structure of the distribution communication system, the present situation of distribution network analysis is carried out. The communication technologies are determined according to the service demand of distribution communication system.Based on the comprehensive analysis of current situation of primary power grid structure, the reconstruction scheme is proposed to realize the aim of load balancing by the way of section switch and contact switch configuration. The feeder automation of power distribution network is improved y referring to the optimization reconstruction of overloaded circuits in the scheme.Based on the requirements analysis of distribution automation system, the distribution and dispatching integrating structure model is proposed which consist of distribution automation system, distribution management system, power dispatching automation and GIS. The hardware structure and software function of main station are designed according to the proposed model. According to the current situation of primary equipment, distribution terminal is assembled to the primary equipment with no distribution terminal.The structure of distribution communication network is designed based on the analysis of current distribution communication network and service requirements. Then, the specific grid structure of EPON and TD-LTE, is professionally designed. In order to improve the coverage of communication network, Wi-Fi is used to be the extended layer of communication network.
