High-speed railway is an important part of Chinese railway. EMU(Electric Multiple Units) provides significant guarantee for high-speed railway’s operation. Currently, the speed and technology level of EMU are getting higher. But the existing maintenance management has been unable to better adapt to the needs of rapid development, especially in management of maintenance spare parts and life prediction of component. The former has problems of incomprehensive information and unintelligent management etc. The life prediction of components requires a lot of artificial analysis and calculation, it is time-consuming and the data collection method of it is complex, unable to provide valuable reference. These are Chinese EMU maintenance management problems to be solved.For the above problems, the management system of EMU maintenance spare parts is developed, which combines management of maintenance spare parts with life prediction of component, the information resources can be used effectively. An integrated system with functions of information management, electronic document management, drawing fault histogram and calculation of characteristic parameters is built. The purpose of it is to realize information exchange and sharing, assist relevant personnel in making accurate decisions.Firstly, this thesis carried out requirements analysis and defined four main function modules: user management, information list management, electronic document management and life prediction of components. Information list management includes basic information, inventory record information, fault record information and operations of data related information. Secondly, failure record information is treated as reliable data sources for life prediction of components, the prediction components are selected out from the data, the histogram is calculated and draw by using mathematical statistics method, then the distribution of components life can be determined and reliable characteristic parameter can be calculated. Thirdly, in the developing process of the system, the system framework was selected, the database was designed, the system model was established and key technologies were applied according to requirements. Finally, detail design of each function modules is completed. The system is established, realizing basic functions. The spare parts management and life prediction reaching design requirements as well as achieving combination for good.The application of system, which improve management ability, save cost for inventory, optimize life prediction approach and calculation of real failure data, provide valuable reference for maintenance and storage management. It makes the management maintenance of EMU effectively and ensures safe operation of EMU.
