Research On The Equipment Spare Parts Management In FAW-VW

Since twenty-first Century,China’s automobile industry has developed rapidly,and the domestic automobile market has seen an explosive growth.The average annual growth rate from 2011 to 2015 is about 7%.And then the growth has narrowed and slowed down in recent years,in 2019 decreased 8% compared to 2018.Especially in 2020,the sudden outbreak of COVID-19 has pushed up the related cost,and then affect the profits,Automobile companies pay more attention to how to increase revenue and reduce cost in order to maintain their sustainable profit about the sales and production aspects,but pay little attention to the inventory management.Some companies pay attention to the inventory of production material,the non-production material inventory has not been paid enough attention.As the main part of non-production materials.How to manage production equipment spare parts and control reasonable inventory is an important means for companies to obtain more profit,maintain healthy cash flow and enhance competitiveness.The management of production equipment spare parts is not only for the optimization of inventory,but also for the whole life cycle of production equipment spare parts,find out the problems,and carry out measures.This paper uses the methods of investigation,literature research,quantitative analysis and empirical analysis to study the whole process of production equipment spare parts management in FAW-VW.Firstly,carefully studied the related issues of the production equipment spare parts,and then summarize the research experience.Secondly,along the value chain,divided the management process into three stages:preliminary planning,process management and disposal management.Taking FAW-VW as an example,analyze the question and carry out the solutions.The first chapter of this paper mainly introduces the research background and significance,research content and methods,as well as the theoretical basis of the research and the summary of research results at home and abroad.The second chapter includes the analysis of the status,problems and reasons of production equipment spare parts management in FAW-VW.There are many kinds of equipment brands,purchase an equipment in a low price but very high spare parts cost in the using stage,first time purchasing of spare parts can’t be exhausted.Long purchasing process and high purchase unit price in the planning stage.Large number of spare parts code,huge difference between high and low storage and large difference in spare parts cost in process management stage in the process management stage.Management phase scrapping are not timely and not smooth in the disposal stage.Then analyze the reasons.Poor equipment generality,Lack of overall consideration of the whole life cycle.No management of the first time purchasing.Complex procurement process.low proportion of framework agreement in the planning stage.Inconsistent spare parts coding rules,inconsistent high and low storage rules and insufficient control depth in the process management stage.Waste recycling depth is not enough.Scrap disposal process is not smooth in the disposal management stage.In chapter three,we have developed multi-dimensional solutions.In the third chapter.Formulate the multi-dimensional solutions.Including improving the universality of equipment.Overall estimation of equipment life cycle cost.Strengthening the management of the first time purchasing.Optimizing the procurement process,and signing the framework agreement.Unifying the spare parts coding,unifying the high and low reserve rules,and strengthening the control depth in the process management stage.Strengthening the recycling in the disposal management stage such as recycling management,opening up scrap disposal process,etc.The fourth chapter makes a plan for the relevant measures and makes a pre-evaluation of the effect.
