The Design And Research Of 3G Meter Reading System Powered By Xin Chengpu In State Grid

With the rapid development of the smart grid, the level of automation in the power industry continuously improve, the traditional manual meter reading to the home can not meet the needs of intelligence,remote meter reading technology effectively solve the problem of low labor efficiency. With the advent of smart meters, the collection, transfer and management of energy data form a complete system, the power sector can fast grasp the power of information in real time, and solve the issues effectively, such as an solution for stealing seriously and the waste of human resources.In recent years, the growing popularity of 3G technology, data transmission speed and security is more advanced than the 2G network,the coverage of 3G networks are becoming more common, as the technology continues to improve, 3G popularity will continue to reduce costs and therefore, the 3G technology smart meter for data transmission will have a more practical outlook.In this paper, the 3G communication is combined with smart meters, according to the actual needs of the power management, to residents go 3G remote meter reading powered by XinChengpu, Shijiazhuang City. It includes the following aspects:(1)This paper first introduces advantages of 3G over other means in communication, and the three main criteria are introduced. Then combined with the actual situation of the area, the demand for 3G remote meter reading and background are analyzed, system architecture is designed.(2)The remote meter reading system is designed with hardware and software. The system consists of three parts system master, concentrator station and collecting terminal, wherein the collection meter data collection terminal is transmitted to the concentrator by RS-485 line or wireless communication, and then be sent through the post-processed by the 3G module to the system master. Meanwhile, the system can also sent to the concentrator with command parameters and other information by 3G, the concentrator sends commands to collect meter readings and other terminal operations. Power management software platform for billing through the system, calibration, storage, analysis, management, and alarm for abnormal situations, while the user’s electricity usage in real-time monitoring to ensure that the legitimate interests of the power companies.(3)It designs the process and shows interface of the main business of the master system, then the software on the master remote meter reading system is tested. The results show that remote meter reading system designed can meet the actual needs of Xin Chengpu and the economic efficiency has been greatly improved.
