In recent years, with the rapid development of international trade, the competition between domestic ports is increasing fiercely. Domestic ports gradually move from the second generation, third generation to the fourth generation port. On the other hand, due to many factors, ports are unable to meet the requirements. In order to break through the bottleneck, port building new ports to form a new model. The new model has many differences in space scale, port distribution and port functions. In this context, it is meaningful to analysis the new model. This study is looking forward to exploring the interaction between new model and city.First, the study analyzes the new model. Summarizing and analyzing the status of domestic multi-port, classifying the type of port. Then summarizing the reason and comparing with traditional port in space scale, port distribution and port functions.Secondly the study making the qualitative analysis from spatial structure, economic, social, transportation and other aspects of the impact. The impact of economic development is including industrial and land. The impact of space structures is including urban density, urban layout and urban spatial shape. The influence of social development is including infrastructure, regional mobility and the adjustment divisions. The influence of transportation is including city traffic, port transportation and traffic between the ports. The influence of natural environment is including environmental pollution and the total environmental pollution index. Finally, the study making Qingdao City as an example for empirical research and analyzing the influence form space, economic and internal. In the aspect of external space structure, the city of Qingdao Landsat data are processed by using ArcGIS to explore the influence of structure. In the aspect of economic, studying on the industrial agglomeration degree of new port area and analyzing its influence from the perspective of economic agglomeration. In the aspect of comprehensive evaluation, the study uses principal component analysis to evaluate the city of spatial, economic, social and natural. According to the evaluation results, the corresponding proposals are put forward.
