The transportation that a city’s traffic flow is whether the convenient and fast or not is a developed signs for one city. But the convenient and fast transportation is depend on reasonable layout of traffic network and intelligent management level of the traffic. The development of modern science and technology gives a strong boost power to the system of the intelligent traffic management and control. As a fast-growing coastal cities, Taizhou City facing the severe traffic problems increasingly. That which is road congestion and poor traffic will lead to inefficiency for working and producing of the city. So improving the overall level of traffic intelligence could carry many benefits for Taizhou City,such as efficient traffic management to improve the efficiency of the long-term. Therefore comprehensive management and control platform for intelligent transportation is designed which is in line with demand of Taizhou traffic management.The designed comprehensive management and control platform for intelligent transportation is mainly to convenient public travel. Drivers can get the road inf ormation to select the right way by this platform. Above all,the platform should be able to improve traffic management and electronic office capacity.In order to get this goal, Taizhou city’s current developments and the entire transport network have been fully understood. Then we grip traffic conditions a nd requirements traffic management department and Sort out the need to implem ent the platform system requirements. Through detailed analysis of the requireme nts,comprehensive management and control platform for intelligent transportation adopt the module designing. The modular design gives the detailed process flow diagram and timing diagrams of the system. Last Testing should be accomplished to the system platform,so that it can meet the needs of the Taizhou traffic man agement department.This thesis studies the comprehensive management and control platform for intelligent transportation. The system adopt the.NET as the Computer programming language, achieve the data processing of the background database with the SQL Server and accomplish the system design with the B/S architecture model. After testing, the system can meet the needs of traffic management department of Taizhou city that is a simple and convenient system which operate easy and run stable. Platform system put into use can significantly reduce the workload of the traffic police and significantly improve the travel convenience of the citizen.
