Oscilloscope Calibrator, a kind of signal instrument with advanced technology, programmed power, general function and precise data, may be able to bring us some accurate and different signals including Sine signal, Square Wave signal, Fast Rising signal, DC voltage signal, etc. With the development of electronic test and measurement technology, we also make huge progress in the field of standardization and efficiency of oscilloscope. At the same time tested signals would be badly influenced by oscilloscope’s own mistakes which could lead to some serious quality problems of products, therefore the requirement for the standardization of the Oscilloscope Calibrator become higher and higher, which plays a promotional role to the system of the testing and measurement instruments.According to the foundation of the analysis of testing requirement for oscilloscope’ s function and users’ comfortable experience, the paper took advantage of hierarchical design system and object-oriented program design to make Oscilloscope’s controlling with some characters, such as convenience, extensibility,applicability,and so on. On the other hand, this program could provide diversification of standard signals: the standard Square Wave, standard DC voltage, the stable sine signal, Fast Rising signal, Timing signal and some special calibration functions. These signals are able to accomplish 15 testing programs including vertical deflection system of digital oscilloscope, horizontal deflection system and width measure of band, which could meet the needs of different calibrations. In addition, the program’s design of instrument drive-oriented finish the tasks of parameters configuration, the SCPI command parsing and the interface function of calibrator’s reports and prints. In order to reach the goals of instrument programmed integration testing system, oscilloscope automatic calibration system and laying technological foundation for calibration automatic testing system, the main contents are as follows:1. Analysis of the requirement of testing function,oscilloscope calibration theory and good objected-oriented software framework through Qt various graphs and the development of man-machine interface technology to make oscilloscope calibrator’s multi-functions switch operation to become more convenient, comfortable experience, good stability, system extensibility and strong function, etc.2. Based on the research of PCI instrument drive module, the need of well testing response between parameters configuration and waveform data, data processing, VISA from Lab Windows CVI, GPIB with the support of drive-oriented instrument, using the tools of SCPI command parsing module and calibration reports and prints module to finish the task of instrument integration testing system and related automatically testing system’s second development.3. According to software testing theory, the operational functions of Oscilloscope Calibrator would be more convenient, fault tolerant, extensible after the realization of Oscilloscope Calibrator’s functions interaction test, unit module test and system integration test. And then Optimized scheme could be put forward to improve the testing efficiency and precise Calibration. All these preparations will bring a bright future for the development of Calibrator and applications of instruments.
