With the rapid increase of China’s power industry and the substantial growth in using electricity, and putting forward the concept of smart grid, the informatization, stability, safety requirements of power system are constantly improving. Online temperature monitoring system for substation switchgear is the detection of temperature of high voltage switch cabinet, in order to improve the accuracy of temperature monitoring of high voltage switch cabinet, reduce failure rate, we developed online temperature monitoring system for substation switchgear, the the target of the system is the realization of contact temperature precise, stable, long-term continuous monitoring, which greatly to increase the intelligent power system.This dissertation worked on carrying out a detailed needs analysis for the system, discusses the background and significance of the topic, research status at home and abroad, giving professional description for demand analysis of the temperature monitoring system from the perspective of software engineering, elaborated the system architecture design according to the demand analysis, and finally implementing software system, the system include data acquisition data analysis, data display, data storage, system settings and systemm query. For sensor we selected fiber Bragg grating sensor which has current strong anti-interference, anti magnetic field, high precision, for demodulator we selected SDU212 fiber grating demodulator which has strong stability, fast, long-term continuous work. For the demand analysis design tools we used Rational Rose, Microsoft Visio and other software, for database design we used Power Designer, for development platform we used Microsoft VC++ 2010. For database we selected SQL SERVER database which has good stability, fast inquiry, this dissertation discusses in detail the development steps of database development, we design the conceptual model of database, and then convert it to the database physical model, finally we generated the physical structure of the database. In the process of implementing the system using object-oriented thinking as technical guidance, realizes the data acquisition, data analysis, data display which has independent three layer structure, finally we realized the online temperature monitoring system of substation switchgear. This dissertation also discusses the ADO database visit technology, multithreading and serial communication technology.At present this system working stable in workshop and stable operation of electrolytic aluminum plant power, but it need to be further beautify the interface, scalability remains to be further strengthen.
