With the economic development and constant innovation of science and technology, bionic design products are applied and developed commonly in China and are popular with an increasing number of people especially in household product design field. The bionic design conception is not separable with nature. When human’s estrangement with nature is deeper and deeper, the development of bionic design has been a bridge connecting human and nature, which combines human and nature well. Meanwhile, the application of bionic conception of household product not only meets a natural feeling, but also brings limitless spirit pleasure to human. It also expresses product’s operation way and function by deeply observing the rich and vivid modeling language of bionic objects and life details.The bionic design is not isolated in the application of household products. It should combine with relevant aesthetic principles of design and product’s semantics, and it should also reflect bionic innovative thinking. The most important thing is that bionic design should show the emotion and interest between human and product by the expression of pattern, color, structure, and material. We can say that bionic household product design can relieve people’s fatigue in life and work and modify people’s behaviors in the pleasant pattern and comfortable function, making the boring labor become a comfortable enjoyment. Furthermore, the bionic design of household product should reach the harmonious balance and unification among design, human, object, and environment by thinking. In conclusion, bionic design is a "novel" product design thinking mode which focuses on nature and acquires design resources from nature, and it is an important design conception of household product at the same time.
