The Flexible-Mode is considered the most popular manufacturing mode because of the diversification of the automobile consumption market. The information-flow between different departments and different production units is more frequently in the digital factories. The informationization should be brought to a higher level. So it is necessary to establish the information integration platform to provide the information-flow with better communication paths.A developed paintshop information integration platform was designed and implemented, combined with the field investigation and construction experience from some well-known car factories.Those design requirements, like covering the whole workshop, available interface which connected to the management, ability to recognize the car body, were put forward in this paper. The large scale and high stability requirements are the main challenges. So the idea of “DCS + Object” was adopted. And the paintshop information integration platform is divided into three parts: field control layer, operation monitoring and centralized management level.The rule of scattered layout is put into effect in the field control layer. So the Paintshop was scattered into multiple low-order subsystems basing on the principle of scattered layout. The overall optimization was achieved basing on the local optimization.The main body of the communication system was established basing on industrial Ethernet communication, especially PROFINET. A complex network composed of bus topology and the tree topology was established. Both the field monitoring layer of intelligent automatic control equipment and the top MES layer can be accessed by this system. So we can say the digital factory preliminary was established.The Parallel-Hierarchical Distributed Structure and the Client / Server Structure were both adopted in the operation monitoring layer. The Painting workshop man-machine dialogue system was established with layer by layer visualization interface and multi-angle visual interface. Centralized information display was realized.
