With the development of human civilization, the growing demand for energy, solar energy as a new energy has been constantly developed and utilized. However, with the energy shortage become more and more serious, the new techniques about it require further research to achive higher efficiency. Solar tracking is one of the important way to improve the effeciency. On the basis of existing solar tracking technology, the new structure is designed.The simulation analysis,system development and experimental study has been carried out in this article based on the new structure.Firstly, on the basis of the Simplified Parallel Two Axises Sun-tracking System,the advantages and disadvantages of the flexible structure has been analyzed, For wind resistance and so on the actual demand, the conceptual design of a hard-wired structure has been completed.Secondly, an appropriate structure of tracking system has been designed. The theoretical and experimental research on the structure, function and devices about each part of the system has been carried out, by which the basic structure model of the system has been got. According to the basic structure model of the system, the corresponding theoretical simulation and calculation model has been established. Then the study on the system’s response characteristics has been carried out, which include the tracking range, the structural stability and the wind resistance.Thirdly, the system architecture has been introduced. Conduct physical transformation of the original system. There are two parts for the Sun-tracking System: mechanical structure and controller. The mechanical structure which includes motor module, connection module, fixed base module and solar panel support module has been built based on modular design; Controller contains electronic circuit and programming. This system is designed with the function of signal collecting, status judging, sleep and tracking.Fourthly, the experimental study has been done both indoor and outdoor. Indoor experiment tests the structural stability and the wind resistance. Outdoor experiment is the power improve performance test. By comparing the new system with tracking device and old system, the test of generating speed, generating capacity and percentage of generating improvement has been finished.In summary, the design and production of a solar tracking system has been improved, and the experimental study of the new system has been done both indoor and outdoor. This system makes a certain contribution for solar energy utilization and tracking.
