The Planning And Important Scenery Spot Design Of Zhenping Botanical Garden In Nanyang City

The botanical garden is a garden, which is built by people in the limited space environment. It may contain a variety of small artificial environment and a large number of plants, and is also as a base for the popularization of plant science, scientific research, production demonstration, and tourism services and so on.In this study, the related concepts of Botanic Gardens and the literatures have been collected and reorganized. Moreover, the advantages and disadvantages of British Kew, Shanghai Chen Shan Botanical Garden and Zhengzhou Botanical Garden were also analyzed, and the solutions were proposed. These results will give us the references to design and build of Zhenping Botanical Garden in Nanyang city, Henan province.The feasibility of the construction of Zhenping Botanical Garden was confirmed through the analysis of natural conditions, location, and traffic of Zhenping. Then, the overall planning and design including function division, landscape structure, main attractions, road, planting design, and service facility of Zhenping Botanical Garden was performed. The details as follow:(1) There were four garden block including Entrance landscape area, Plants exhibit area, Greenhouse landscape area, and Management service area.(2) The landscape structure framework of Botanical Garden was divided into “a loop, four garden centres, and many scenic spots”.(3) The main attractions were named “Qun Yu Wen He, Liu An Fang Ting, Wu Cai Hua Gu, Ri Guang Wen Shi, Lv ye Lin Feng, and Hua Ying Zhu Xi”.(4) Botanical Garden roads were divided into three grades and included three parking place.(5) The tree species were selected based on the garden block of Botanical Garden. This planning and design of Zhenping Botanical Garden provided the basis for initial design and project construction.Additionally, in this design, many methods have been carried out, such as literature studies, field trips, drawing analysis, and case study to complete my planning and design as well as combined the classification system of plants and the innovative design methods. Zhenping Botanical Garden was not only a common Botanical Garden, but also meet the requirements of the law of nature and human settlement environment landscape.There were four innovations in this planning and design:(1) Passenger foot-bridges were built to connect different garden block for tourists.(2) Six special attractions in this Botanical Garden were designed that can provide the funds for preparatory construction.(3) Many native tree species were designed to plant in Zhenping Botanical Garden for formation of the landscape quickly.(4) There were many tree species because of their fast growth, wide adaptation, and easy propagation that were design to plant, resulted in cost less in the later management in Zhenping Botanical Garden.
