Many of the existing engineering equipments have remote monitoring requirements, but they are facing the question the controller of device itself does not have the ability of remote monitoring. According to PAC programmable automation controller is researching, This paper install some necessary sensors for equipments,and designs an analog signal board to collects analog signal of sensors, then the problem that existing equipment controller does not have the capabilitie of remote monitoring has been solved.In addition, breakpoint continuingly method has been used to solve the problem of data loss when network is interrupted. And, simple and effective data processing method is used to reduce the data storage space and avoid the high cost of industrial real-time database. What’s more, according to the scattered feature of equipments of many small and medium-sized enterprise, a general platform for the remote monitoring system has been developed. Therefor, a system based on the external type PAC has been put forward to solve remote monitoring of general engineering equipments.According to the features of remote monitoring system and some special requirements of this system, the integrated framework included spot monitoring,data transmission and remote monitoring has been designed. This paper finished the primary hardware design of the analog signals board of the PAC, determined chip selection and data communications of main control circuit, analog signal acquisition system,analog signal output system and the waveform generator of analog signal board. Then the design of acquisition system including the RF and aliasing filter circuit, channel multiplexing circuit signal, amplifying circuit, analog signal output system, the program main process of signal generator and finished the related test have been finished. Secondly, the breakpoint continuingly method has been analyzed and designed to solve network communication of PAC and server. What’s more, a simple and effective data processing method have been designed to reduce the data storage space,and the two key classes of main service program have been programmed for data processing and the minutes date calculation. Finally, according to system requirements, an universal remote monitoring platform is analyzed and designed. For this system, this paper finished some necessary tasks such as: the establishment of the database of the system model, the distribution of system permissions, the data search algorithm, data reduction algorithm, the programmed of history data page and history curve page.
