In the plateau mountainous area highway traffic safety face common effect of adverse climatic conditions and complex road alignment. At higher elevations, larger temperature difference between day and night led to the fall and winter seasons more fog and icy weather occurs, mountain complex terrain conditions lead to downhill, small radius curve section and tunnel group sections grew up in road design. The expressway of Yunnan province is a typical plateau mountainous area highway, each year because of adverse weather conditions and complicated road alignment caused a lot of traffic accident, and the intensity of traffic accident death far greater than the plain area highway. Has the great significance of security technology of Expressway in mountainous area in plateau so bad weather and complex road conditions under the coupled action.First of all, this paper investigated the accident risk source on the Plateau Mountainous Freeway Traffic Accident in Yunnan Province on behalf of the traffic safety, clear main risk of plateau mountainous expressway, points out the study direction to solve the plateau mountainous area highway traffic safety problem, analysis of the fog, ice, downhill, small radius curve section and Tunnel Group on the causes of traffic accidents from the mechanism, which provides the theoretical basis for the research on the security technology in the plateau mountainous area highway safety.Secondly, because of the influence of complex road conditions, the entire highway is divided into special section and general section, the special road section by the anarchically method of speed measurement and complex road conditions combined to formulate its speed limit value, the general section adopts the method of running speed calculation for its speed limit value, the development of complex road conditions of static speed control technology; in view of the influence of bad weather, fog conditions using a safe stopping distance model as foundation, consider the dynamic visual acuity, friction coefficient,making the different visibility under the speed limit, icing conditions using vehicle sidelight model as the foundation, considering vehicle slip rate effects on lateral adhesion coefficient, formulate the reasonable the reasonable the speed limit value, the development of the dynamic of adverseclimatic conditions to control the speed of technology; and for the bad climate and complex road conditions of coupling, developed a comprehensive speed control technology.Then, in view of the highway, plateau mountain ice fog weather prone situation, this article established by the fog, ice weather monitoring system, process control system, intelligent information system and emergency system composed of Expressway fog, ice monitoring and early warning system.Finally, combined with the plateau mountainous area expressway traffic safety facility set the status of lack of system, this paper carried out the fog section, section, grew up in small radius curves section and tunnel road traffic safety facilities group optimization design of downhill, to provide theoretical guidance for the practice of engineering.
