In 1886, the first car in the world was born. When time enters into the 21 st century, car has become the main means of transportation of human society. Just only in 2013, the number of sold cars broke through 20 million in China. The quantity of car sold is rising up so quickly, because the travel demands of people goes up dramatically in the information age. Thus, in today’s society, the traffic safety is becoming more and more important. Among the vehicle systems, the brake system is undoubtedly the most important part related to the life safety.Moving forward along with the society development, automobile technology is developed continuously, and the vehicle’s top speed is increased, which requires the higher performance of the vehicle braking system, more reliable, more intelligent. Nowadays ABS system is the mature automobile brake system products, line control braking technology is the mainstream of future braking technology, and the function has different emphasis. The function of the former is mainly to prevent car emergency braking skid or a spin instability caused by car, the latter’s role is largely simplify the structure of the car, reduce automobile mechanical parts, lower the weight of the car, make the car lightweight, reduce the vehicle fuel consumption. So research into how to blend these two technologies together is a fairly advanced topic. In this paper, the main job is to research the improvement of automobile braking performance and the technology of line control, on this basis to integrate these two technologies together. Paper main research results are as follows:Research progress of automobile braking, and braking by wire(BBW) system will be the trend and direction of the development of the automobile braking system in the future, ABS system braking technique is mature, the combination of them will be the subject which has the great research value.Reviewed the development course of PLC(programmable logic controller), the characteristics, structure and working principle are introduced. After comprehensive consideration, a Siemens S7-300 series PLC as the control element simulation test system is selected.This paper proposed to integrate BBW and ABS anti-lock system, designed the line control and ABS integration principle diagram, established the line control and ABS anti-lock system integration of PLC simulation system, this system will offer the reference and theoretical support for the application of BBW system in the vehicle.This paper designed the Brake-By-Wire and ABS integrated simulation system structure diagram; According to the performance requirements of integrated simulation system, appropriate hardware is selected(Siemens PLC- 300, Danfoss FC300, P+F PVM58, three-phase asynchronous motor);The Danfoss FC300 inverter is controlled by Siemens PLC-300 in this integrated simulation system, and the rotating speed of the motor(wheel) is controlled by the inverter, the motor speed is measured by PVM58 encoder, the speed parameter is passed to the PLC-300 as the control input of the algorithm.Vehicle braking dynamics model of single wheel is established, the line of control and ABS system are carried on the vehicle dynamics model, and then the simulation model is established. For the ABS anti-lock braking system was designed with fuzzy control strategy, and realized the simulation of ABS antilock braking.Based on PLC control technology, a set of line control technology and ABS anti-lock system integration simulation experiment system is designed, and this system provide certain reference for future research in the integration of the line control and ABS system.In the design of the simulation experiment system of the integration of the BBW technique and ABS system, using S7-300 PLC and Danfoss FC300 frequency converter, using the rotary encoder to measure the wheel speed, using the three-phase asynchronous motor to simulate the wheels. The PLC simulation system integrated three modules, namely the FC1 function block, which is to control the car’s acceleration and deceleration;FC2 function block, which is to judge the start the ABS system;FC3 function block, which is the design of ABS fuzzy control program.Configuration monitoring interface is established, and the whole PLC system is real-time monitored by superior PC and configuration software. The experiment process is intuitive, start and end is controlled through the button; the analysis of experimental results is also very convenient.The simulation and experimental results show that the integration of the line control and ABS system is feasible, and the effect is obvious. Through the analysis of experimental results, the vehicle which integrated line control system and ABS system achieved better braking effect compared with the vehicle only integrated line control system.
