Pure electric vehicle is the emphasis and focus of China’s automobile manufacturing enterprise in the field of new energy vehicles, which has a wide market prospects. The pure electric vehicle is powered all from batteries, while the power performance and economy is one of the measurements of the key indicators, and the power battery development is limited now, including cost, weight, capacity etc., thus, enhancing the power performance and economy will be the focus of the researching for the current pure electric vehicle. Therefore, there are positive meanings for putting forward perfect control strategy for the pure electric vehicle.This paper based on the current development status and key technologies of pure electric vehicle, the market for the performance and features of motors and battery, and Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Motor Co., Ltd. "2012 New Energy Automobile Industry Technology Innovation Project". For the practical problems to be solved in the actual vehicle driving conditions, studying the drive control strategy from the theoretical and practical point of view, which based on Cruise, thus effectively improve the power performance and economy. The main researches are as follows:(1) According to the design objectives, based on the vehicle dynamic, matching the design parameters for the drive motor and battery pack. Comparing the advantages and disadvantages, and select the existing various types of motor and batteries.(2) Based on the key parameters of the vehicle and the parts, measuring the motor characteristic curve and efficiency curve in the dynamic test platform, and getting basic modeling data from the battery charge and discharge test. Analyzing the mathematical model of the components, and builds the whole vehicle model by the simulation software Cruise. Analyzing the electric vehicle evaluation criteria, setting simulation tasks, and then simulates operations. Comparing the simulation results and experimental results, and clear the correctness of the model.(3) Proposing compensating torque driving control strategy and braking-energy recovery strategy which were based on fuzzy logic theory. And finally simulating it. Analyzing the results of the two types of control strategies to prove the feasibility of strategy.
