With the extensive use of engine among the field of daily life and industrial production, the problem of keeping the engine running in a normal state with reliable security becomes a great topic. The engine’s performance testing experiment arises as the historic moment. The fault diagnosis on the experiments becomes a research focus.This paper takes the low speed endurance test of an engine into research. Through the establishment of testing stand and the arrangement of experiment equipment, the low speed endurance test is finish after 1368 hours. There are also the data monitoring platform and data transfer program which are built with LABVIEW. The data is the research resource in this paper.The paper builds up the calculation method for the healthy thermodynamic data range through much history data. It uses the distribution character of discrete data. The healthy data range will be used to test whether the thermodynamic data changes in a correct way.This paper defines three kinds of testing items: healthy detection, data reliability detection and the long hidden fault detection. Engine’s running data will be put into these three kinds of testing items and get the final fault diagnosis conclusion.This paper uses MATLAB to program and realize the goal of automation with data handling and diagnosis process. The MATLAB Graphical User Interface to design the fault diagnosis user interface with the integration of programs. The fault diagnosis user interface can achieves the goal of visualization, simplification and intelligence.This paper researches on the fault diagnosis of thermodynamic data. It also focuses on the building flow of data detection and fault diagnosis interface. It has great reference value for other kinds of engine’s test.
