Rural Settlement’s Sustainable Landscape Study

Since the Communist Party held 16 th Fifth Plenary Session, the new mission of building new rural construction has been widely spread to vast Chinese countryside. According to the requirements of the provincial government, Our Hubei Province has been putting forward a comprehensive strategic plan to promote the new urbanization and a new round of "one hundred thousand town village" construction work. To strengthen the party’s call about "livable village" demonstration projects, and to improve the rural people’s living environment, all the villages in Hubei launched a new rural construction. The main content is that changing the rural buildings’ layout and landscaping. In this process of construction, most of the rural environment has been well developed. However, in the new rural construction, there have been many problems that caused people’s controversies. The senior as the majority of the population in rural areas, the limitation of rural people’s education, the local tradition and many other factors have caused more and more challenges in the developing process of the rural landscape. Based on the Environmental Protection Principles, the landscape design has been researched as a sustainable project. Analyzing and identifying the new rural landscape design principles and ideas, and solving the existing problems of the future construction are the most valuable and significant strategies to lead the vast new rural construction to success.In this paper, based on the new rural construction, a starting point is to analyze and explain about new rural landscape concepts of sustainable development, research status, principles and ideas of sustainable development of the new rural landscape. Also, this paper listed several examples to support the thesis and verify my conclusion. Through researching all kinds of books and other online resources, including the information provided by Liangzihu District Government, theoretical analysis, document analysis, real case studies, field research and analysis on the new rural landscape of sustainable design have been studied in this paper.Furthermore, a few field trips and case practices have been done particularly in the rural Liangzihu District Ezhou City in Hubei Province. We expect to find problems, ask questions, analyze problems, and finally solve problems through practice in the research. We also expect to make a contribution to the new rural construction by giving our valuable advice and constructive help.
