Preliminary Design Strategies On Air Courtyard Of High-rise Office Building

High-rise office buildings or building group’s appearance, to a certain extent, solved the problems such as urban people get much and high land prices, and reduced the stress of traffic. However, in the past development, due to reasons such as technology and cost, leading to its internal function that boring, high-rise office building are also known as the desert that human developed into the air. The pursuit of efficient and capable of architecture style and space layout make rapidly disappearing of traditional landscape and public space. It is difficult to make staff who live in long-term mental work in high load and fast-paced work environment relieve internal pressure, because of a lack of sense of place, belonging and identity in which people demand in city office area. The world health organization has indicated that sick building syndrome(SBS) has become a disease people in a modern high-rise office building most likely to cause, and its symptoms is sub-health state such as headache, fatigue and discomfort in entire body. This is great influenced the personnel office efficiency in high-rise office.Courtyard is the essence of traditional architecture space design. It is an effective way to solve the problem of building lighting and ventilation, and a place people having a rest and communicating. It provides more rich space experience for people and creates a beautiful scenery for the city. In recent years, with the development of the ecological concept of sustainable design, courtyard ecological value is explored by designers. Combining the courtyard in modern high-rise office buildings to create a new office space pattern with air courtyard has been recognized and practiced by designers.Base on the development of high-rise office buildings evolution as the historical background, this paper combed and summarized the necessary of courtyard, due to demand of physical and mental health, communication and ecological energy-saving. Base on relevant theories and problems, the article puts forwards design standards which contains "organic unity" and "people-oriented" and "symbiosis". And the article puts forward the corresponding design principles on the space form, landscape and green technology.On the space form, based on the design principle of organic unity, design strategies contains the generation of air courtyard, the adaptability of use requirements and architectural modeling design. On the landscape, based on the design principleof a rest exchanges, design strategies contains the overall layout, landscape design and construction strategies. On the green technology, based on the design principles of suitable ecological, design strategies contains passive design and compensating for the ecological diversity due to the usage of air courtyard space form and greening configuration method.Finally, the article takes the project—Nanchong innovation concept design as an example, to confirm the above research, and discusses summary and outlook.
