The laboratory construction level is closely related to a country’s science and technology development, and even more important is that it directly influences the output of scientific research. In recent years, our government pays more attention and money to the construction of laboratory, the laboratory construction enters a fast-development period. But in the process of designing and building of the laboratory, the lack of experience and theoretical direction would lead to unreasonable plan or unscientific layout of some laboratories. Even more serious is that the laboratories can’t be used because of safety concerns and wasted a lot of money. So in order to realize each function of the laboratory, combine with the characteristics of laboratory building, the particularity of its water supply and drainage and fire protection systems are studied primarily.Firstly, make the research on laboratory building’s pure water supply system. According to analysis of laboratory water specifications, co MPares the typical pure water preparation technology. Discusses the design of the central pure water supply system, in order to ensure the flow and the quality of pure water, the central pure water supply system should adopt the series loop of double tube arrangement form.Secondly, the eye bath and emergency shower equipment is studied. According to our country’s usage of eye bath and emergency shower equipment and American standard ANSI Z358.1-2009, discusses the installation and setup parameters of the eye bath and emergency shower equipment. It has analyzed the difference between American and China on code for water supply pressure of the eye bath and emergency shower equipment, and put forward emergency equipment supply pressure value should be between 0.20 MPa to 0.55 MPa.And then make the research on laboratory building’s waste water drainage system. Discusses the damage to the environment if the laboratory’s wastewater undisposed and discharge directly, advice set up a special drainage system in the building. Co MPared the performance of the commonly used plastic pipe material, according to the characteristics of laboratory building’s waste water drainage system, advise use CPVC pipes. According to different characteristics of water quality in laboratory wastewater pollutant characteristics, discusses the corresponding treatment measures.Finally, make the research on laboratory building’s fire safety systems. Analyzes the laboratory building’s fire risk and fire hazards, analyzes the difference between the new specification "Technical code for fire protection water supply and hydrant systems"(GB50974-2014) and " Code of Design on Building Fire protection and prevention "(GB50016-2006) and "code for fire protection design of tall buildings" GB50045-95) from fire water supply system and indoor hydrant system two aspects. According to the characteristics of various types of fire concurrent in the laboratory, gas fire extinguishing systems are studied.
