| On the one hand, it’s imperative to vigorously promote and study the architectural form and technology in sustainable development with the global environment deteriorating and the resources and energy declining nowadays. One the other hand, more and more young students go to university campus to accept higher education with the vigorous development of the economy and the expansion of the college enrollment. This brings the numbers of college students’ apartments in the construction by leaps and bounds. The students’ apartments have high population density and high energy consumption. So, how to make the students’ apartments not only meet the basic functional requirements, but also keep the students’ living environment healthy, comfortable, energy saving and environmental? It’s the primary project to consider and study for designers and builders of college students’ apartments. This paper aims to explore the design principles, strategies and methods suitable for the local climate characteristic, environmental protection, saving energy and comfort, sustainable development for the present large-scale construction of students’ apartments.Firstly, based on the evaluation standard for green building, this paper discusses the green building connotations, design principles and methods, at the same time, analyzes and sorts out the climate characteristics in cold region, the purpose is to lay theoretical basis and collect original data for studying design method of college students’ apartments in cold region.Secondly, through the site investigation, research, testing and evaluation of college students’ apartments monomer building and living area layout of Caotang campus of Xi’an Architecture and Technology University(use the five aspects of evaluation standard for green building, namely, land saving, material saving, water saving, energy saving and indoor environment, etc.), this paper deeply analyze and study the environmental and design problems of the current college students’ apartments in cold region.Thirdly, building design strategies for college students’ apartments in cold region based on the concept of evaluation standard for green building are proposed, and aiming at the existing problems of indoor light environment and wind environment, different optimization design methods and construction measures are proposed, then give the computer simulation and verification.Finally, the author summarized the problem of the green university student apartment design in cold areas and presented the author’s views and recommendations. |
