Since green building assessment identification work has been developed in our country, the green building has the rapid development, but larger space distribution differences obvious at the same time. At the key period of the large-scale development in green building, grasping the spatial difference is very necessary for refinement of the green building in the future policy and realizing the balanced development in green building.Green building development in our country is the research object, green building development space difference is divided into green building,star class green building, two-star green building, three-star green building development space differences. Theil index method is used to measure the spatial difference and total variance decomposition to differences in regional and differences between regional. Their contribution rate of total variance is measured. The level of economic development and real estate market environment influencing on the development of green building is researched by the Theil index with GDP and the added value of real estate as the weights compared. The weight of the measuring results show that the Theil index with GDP as weights can reveal the spatial difference of green building development in our country. The green building development of the space difference in China(both green building overall development and various star green building developments) is mainly caused by the differences in regional and decreases year by year. Three-star green building development space differences is the most obvious, one star green building development space difference is smaller.According to the development of China’s green building space difference measure analysis, strengthening regional green building development policy is put forward in the future. Various climate zones and economic zones should be treated differently; The industrialization of green building development should be accelerated for large scale development of green building, marketization and equalization and reducing green building cost. The regional green building demonstration area construction should be attached great importance and the publicity of green building should be spread to different areas.
