The author discusses the deep-rooted problems related to the reliability assessment and the reliability optimization design based on the existing domestic and abroad reliability evaluation and design models in this article. A new reliability assessment model which combined the validity of the fault pattern recognition of complex product system structure of the Fault Tree Analysis and the advantage of the fault loss solution of the Graphic Evaluation and Review Technique was proposed. The model gives the reliability evaluation of new connotation from the perspective of the fight against failure. By improving the Dhingra optimization model and combining the advantages of the intelligent grey target multi objective decision making methods, the author put forward the optimization design model of multi objective reliability based on Intelligent grey target. The main research contents are as follows:(1) In this thesis, the author extended the concept of reliability analysis and optimization design. Also he defined the connotation of fault resistance reliability analysis and reliability optimization design concepts. Put forward the reliability design and analysis framework based on fault resistance.(2) The author put forward a FTA-GERT(P, L) analysis model to realize the analysis of complex system reliability and fault loss evaluation by introducing the fault loss into the fault tree analysis technology and combining the FTA and GERT Technology. The model realizes the transformation of the fault tree to the GERT network of complex product system. The authors designed evaluation system failure loss algorithm. Further the author proposed FTA-GERT(P, L) for component reliability sensitivity and fault loss sensitivity algorithm. Finally, the author verified the validity and scientific of the model by analyze a typical structure of the system. The model provides a new perspective and method for reliability analysis of complex product.(3) The failure loss objective function was introduced to improve the Dhingra multi-objective reliability optimization design model. The author put forward optimization design model of multi objective reliability of complex product system based on the intelligent grey target decision model. In the model, the author gave the steps and algorithm of reliability design by Using C language and MATLAB tools to compile the program for solving the model. Finally, the author verified the effectiveness and the scientificalness of the model and the program with a typical ―four stage-no repair system‖ reliability optimization design case.
