As an important window of automobile combined instrument driver and automobile information communication, car driving on the way to the driver through the instrument displays the body information timely understand the running state of the current car, plays an important role in the safety of driving a car. In recent years, along with the car gradually into the electronic, intelligent, automotive electronics in the development of micro electronics has increasingly become the focus of attention at home and abroad. At present,the automobile electronic technology function is more and more complex, need to achieve the function of the system is more complicated, so the microprocessor to deal with complex automotive systems. The application of microprocessor in the car is very much, but also makes the car electronic equipment to communicate data more quickly. Thus, the vehicleelectronic need to form a common network system, this system is based on distributed control. The automotive network must be able to perform fast data processing, high reliability, and low cost. The CAN bus can ensure fast data communication of the network system is very good.Based on the analysis of the automobile instrument based on characteristic and the function, to perfect the function of the system, improve the system scalability and reliability at the same time, in strict accordance with the standard requirements of CAN bus communication technology, the overall structure of automobile combined instrument system, discusses the design scheme of hardware design and software design of the system, and the design of TFT-LCD instrument based on CAN communication technology,completed the hardware design and software programming.The hardware of the system adopts Freescale’s MPC5604 S microprocessor as the main controller for instrument combination instrument systems in automobiles, liquid crystal display instrument is used in the mono system the benefit of TFT-LCD, the data transmission through the CAN bus network, instruments for data processing, all kinds of information through the TFT-LCD display the last state of automobile. The software adopts the modularization design, the anti-interference function of the system is designed.In the end of the research and development of automobile combined instrument was given a series of tests, verify the TFT-LCD dash board based on CAN communication technologyhas good anti-interference ability, stable working ability, is the future development direction of automobile instrument.
