The telemetry module testing system, based on virtual instrument technology and FPGA, is a special automatic testing system designing for measing and testing the telemetry module. Mainly testing function modules include: the part of transmission coefficient calculation, the part of interface input impedance calculation, the part of simulated some kinds of bus protocol signals and analog signals, the analysis of modulated signal. It can greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy.In this thesis, the design and development process of the telemetry module testing system is introduced in detail. First of all, some basic knowledge about virtual instrument technology are analyzed, and then a design scheme based on virtual instrument technology from current available solutions is put forward and selected.after that, the paper discusses the hardware design of the testing system in detail, including the system composition, the function compartmentalization. Besides, the paper analyzes the work flow of each moudule for the software of the testing system, then explains and realizes the testing functional modules on the platform of LabVIEW 8.2. Finally, the paper describes the debugging, calibration of the testing system and the problems encountering as well as its solutions during development process.The system software uses G language as a programming language; the main part of hardware is FPGA, Verilog HDL was used in the FPGA developmet.The system implemented in the paper has been put into use and achieve a good application in practice tests. The reseults of tests show that the system can effectively meet all the requirements of the project.Moreover, the system achieves great improvement in the performances of precession and efficiency.
