Exploring On Rule Set At The Design Phase Of Architectural Based On The BIM Technology

Today, the amount of information contained in a construction project is growing. The construction companies need to handle vast amounts of information, and also need to collaborate with the engineers of architecture, structure, HVAC, etc. BIM as a new technology of construction, is also known as a revolutionary force of change construction. It can manage more than 150 different types of documents on the data platform, including drawings, models, contracts, procurement of materials and so on. At the same time,BIM provides various online project collaboration solutions to solve the problem that cannot be solved by traditional method., optimizing the construction management mode, transforming the economic growth mode. Since China has just started BIM, it is still in the initial stage of exploration applications. Most projects can not achieve the full application of BIM. Rule check is an important part for building quality assurance. While,at present, in China, rule check is still in an extensive pattern, which is time-consuming, labor-intensive, resources-consuming, etc. So it needs new technologies to change the status quo urgently. And the appearance of BIM rule checking is showing a new path for Rule Check.This paper use BIM rule checking technology, and makes the Rule Set as the breakthrough point. The research is based on BIM platform, applying rule checking, discussing the ways of establishing rules. in the interest of establishing and providing a theoretical basis and guidance for the examination of BIM rules.Firstly article begins with the BIM basic theory research. Research in this area has been a lot. As BIM is developing rapidly in recent years, there have emerged a large number of applications and case studies in the past two years. With the fast-changing of BIM, this paper will make a comprehensive research and data collection on the latest development status, BIM software, as well as the application case study. Simultaneously, with the help of questionnaire survey, we may enrich the database. Then, the research focus on the concept definition and classification of "rule". Rule refers to a detailed description for one or more constraints between an entity instances, or examples to examples. Architectural design rule is defined as the guidelines in the architectural design, which includes the code, design requirements and index.Secondly, On the foundation of understanding the rule, the article begins to research on the theory of the rules establishment, including the support of BIM technology, the support of Rule Check technology, the ways of Rule Set and the information translation. The support of BIM and the Rule Check technology are to ensure the feasibility of Rule Set and Rule Check. The ways to set rules is the specific methods; the information translation is the essential process of Rule Set.Finally, taking Chongqing Simian mountain Days Hotel as an example, applying the Rule Set theory to practice. This part summarizes the key problems to solve and the goal of the Rule Check, clarifying the emphasis and difficulty in the process. And also set a series of rules, involving professional general specifications, special specifications, and project specifications. In addition, the BIM model was checked and corrected, to ensure the validity of the design, providing a basic assurance for the application of the model in the later process of constructing simulation and operating management.
