Satellite plays a vital role in national defense, economics, science and technology and many other fields. A distinguishing feature of satellite is that once launched cannot be serviced ever. In order to ensure its normal operation after entering orbit each part of the satellite must be tested rigorously before it is launched. On-Board Data Handling System(OBDH) is the core part of a satellite. It has two main functions. First, it receives telemetry data from the payload of a satellite and other service system, and then it decides whether to store the data in the RAM or transmit the data to ground stations according to the data analysis results. Second, it receives remote control commands from the ground station, and then sends special commands to the actuator to get the satellite adjusted. So ground test of On-Board Data Handling System is especially important.This dissertation developed one ground test equipment for satellite On-Board Data Handling System. This paper majors on the hardware system design, FPGA design and software system design of the equipment. First, it proposes a total design scheme after carefully analyzes the technical demand, and then gives a detailed description of how to design the signal processing circuit of each module. The module contains synchronous 422 module, OC communication module high precision pressure sensor module power distribution system, service system.etc. After the hardware design, it gives a reasonable distribution of FPGA logic resources and IO resources, based on the principles of rational distribution of all modules and convenient for subsequent testing.In this article we use Lab VIEW FPGA Graphical Programming Language to design FPGA, and then use C++ object-oriented programming language to design software system in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. Lab VIEW FPGA isn’t design for VS, so this paper proposes a new method to solve the problem. This method is successfully applied in this design.To ensure the reliability and stability of the equipment, this article tests the hardware system and software system separately and finally do a comprehensive test of the entire system. Comprehensive the test results of each part and the final system test result, it shows that this design of On-Board Data Handling System ground test equipment is very stable high reliability, and fully meets the design requirements.
