The complex mixed traffic situation makes automobile-bicycle traffic accidents happen frequently in our country, the casualties and economic losses it causes should not be underestimated. Therefore, it is necessary and urgent to carry out research on automobile-bicycle traffic accidents. Based on the current status of traffic safety, this paper carries out statistical analysis and simulation from the perspective of the accident law and the impact characteristics of automobile-bicycle accidents.The paper conducts a survey of 267 cases of automobile-bicycle accidents in Weihai firstly, it analyzes the law and characteristics comprehensively from three direction of accident overall distribution, the causes of accidents and bicycle controller injury. At the same time, the relationship between speed and bicycle controller casualty is studied with the method of logistic regression analysis. Comparative analysis of the difference between the risk of casualty among different vehicle models are conducted. Targeted recommendations for the prevention and mitigation of accident injuries are proposed through analysising the relevant statistical conclusions.By the PC-Crash software platform, this paper innovatively improves multi-body dynamics models of the human body and bicycle. Meanwhile it establishes automobile-bicycle collision models, and verifies the accuracy of the simulation models built through real cases. In order to study the depth variation of bicycle controller injury, crash simulation method is used to study the three sensitive parameters of impact car speed, accident collision morphology, bicycle collision speed and position effects on bicycle controller. Then, the paper makes research on car outline size parameters, using orthogonal tests to analyze the correlation between bike rider injury and car outline size parameters. Moreover, using approximate modeling and solving optimization method to optimize a car outline size parameters based on moving least squares method(MLSM) and adaptive response surface method(ARSM), which makes bike rider injury decrease to the lightest.As to the accident reproduction for bicycle control states, the paper studies different collision feature under different bicycle control states through simulation of typical collision forms. With the Box-Behnken method and Latin Hypercube method, 260 simulations are conducted to analyze the correlation between impact indicators and bike control states. Then, sensitive indicators which could be used to judge the state of the bicycle are identified through a combination method of simulation and statistical analysis, and the feasibility of using evaluation indexs to judge bike control states is verified using real cases.By studying this subject, it can not only provide data support and technical reference for automotive passive safety improvements, but also could provide accident prevention and reproduction reference for the traffic safety department.
