The bicycle accidents occur frequently in our country,resulting in a large number of casualties and property losses every year.With the popularity of green transportation such as shared bicycles,the number of bicycles in the city is increasing dramatically,so it can be foreseen that the incidence of bicycle traffic accidents will increase rapidly.Based on the related works of scholars both at home and abroad,this paper applies the increasingly mature computer numerical simulation method to study the collision response of bicycle accidents and the injury mechanism of the cyclists.To build a model that can reflect the actual characteristics of human and accident vehicles is the basis of computer simulation analysis.Because the ellipsoid multi rigid body model can not accurately describe the geometric characteristics of the collision contact position,so that is based on the Facet grid modeling method to build up the vehicle model in this paper.The geometric appearance of the Facet model is more realistic,and it can use the equivalent stiffness data to calculate the contact force,the simulation result is more precise and efficient.In view of the specificity of cyclist in specific accidents,this paper applies the traffic accident simulation dummy customization system,through the way by scaling and splicing,to customize the MB-FE coupled dummy which accords with the body's shape and contact damage characteristics of the rider in the accident.The contact area of the coupled dummy is the elaborate finite element model,which helps to analyze the damage mechanism of human body more deeply.Based on the Facet model and MB-FE coupled dummy,a cyclist-vehicle-road coupled system model is proposed in this paper.The model has considered the grab effect of the rider's hand with the handlebar,and the coupling effect of the bicycle tires with the road.And the model is used to simulate the motion process of bicycle such as moving straight or uphill,as well as the motion stability under lateral interference.In view of three typical bicycle collision accidents,the modeling method proposed in this paper is used to reconstruct the accident.The simulation results show that the process of vehicle collision is consistent with the accident investigation and video record.The damage data of the coupled dummy also coincides well with the injury report of the rider.It shows that the modeling method of this paper can accurately simulate the collision accident of bicycle and help to analyze the damage mechanism of the rider.The simulation results demonstrate the reliability and practicability of the modeling method proposed in this paper.
