Tourism boom in the city, urban public space with luxuriant and complex changes,usually as a "historic", "the portal section of public space in the "dress up" gradually alienated from the local residents’ daily life, so how to save and record the landscape characteristics of local user experience needs attention, to urban public space as the object of study different "aesthetic schema", local residents and tourists tendency of landscape perception, the aesthetic differences between different groups and landscape preference has very realistic significance.In this paper the environmental aesthetics the concept and content of "aesthetic schema", then compare different urban public space of "aesthetic schema" characteristics and differences of experience. On this basis, the selection of the xi ’an three typical public space has carried on the on-the-spot investigation and study, the structure of the landscape status, use the crowd characteristics, behavior and activity has made the investigation and analysis, then analyzes the related data sorting, found that under different "aesthetic mode" use crowd there is a specific differences in the landscape, embodies as the experience way, content, use of time, scale, psychological feelings, interaction between expectation and psychological meet different.Further study of different mode of "aesthetic" subjects in the experiences of urban public space, recrimination simplistic treat different use a subject is difficult to maximize meet the needs of the users, a clear landmark in the city public space especially close to the residents living area should be how to balance the use of differentpeople’ demand.
