| With the deepening of China’s urbanization process, it caused the urbanpopulation booming and the land tension. The big cities’ urban renewal contradictionsincreasingly prominent. And lots of problem in the urban old residential area came out,such as: the high density of the population and the buildings, the poor livingenvironment and lack of public space. Residential public space as an important carrierof public life, how to update after modification, can provide more and better publicspace for residents, it has become a big problem in front of us.This thesis is based on the deep thinking of the above problems, and under theprecondition of fully research of the will of residents, combined with the dailyactivities for residents and residents’ needs and other considerations, explore the urbanold residential public space renewal principles, strategies, methods, and providereference for practical work. And at the same time, through the study of urban oldresidential interior public space, I want to enrich and perfect the system of theresidential public space research.The main part of the thesis is divided into five chapters:In the first chapter, the this research topic is raised by a residential research ofthe old residential public space reconstruction,and the relevant concepts are defined.And then, the research scope has been confirmed. The author selected researchmethods, and made the research framework.The second chapter is mainly about the relevant settlements and its related theoryand practice of public space, and the author set up the theory of residential and publicspace development. And the author summarized the classification of residential publicspace. The third chapter is based on the basic status of Xi’an reaching inhabited area ofoverview. Residential segregation is analyzed in residential space present situation andproblems, and emphatically on analysis and research of the current residential publicspace.In the fifth chapter, begin with the first settlements residents daily behavior ofoutdoor activities, the author analyzes the reaching residents living area daily outdooractivities behavior characteristics. The living area residents willingness and demand isobtained, and it provides the basis for the public space reconstruction.In the fifth chapter, the author puts forward several strategies of residential publicspace reconstruction, and established the xi ’an reaching section of the basic principlesof residential public space reconstruction, and related design scheme is presented. |
