The Preliminary Study On The Design Techniques Of The Tang-Style Garden In Xi’an

China has a large area with 9,600,000 square kilometers, which has lush vegetation, beautiful scenery. At the same time, China has a long history of five thousand years’ civilization. Superior natural conditions and long history make Xi’an become one of the earliest important birthplace of China traditional garden in the history of our country. With the "Guanzhong Tianshui Economic Planning" approved by the State Council, it will focus on building Xi’an into an international metropolitan with cultural characteristics which is different from Beijing, Shanghai, Hongkong. Xi’an makes full use of its rich historical heritage combined with modern technology to build a lot of excellent Tang-style gardens.This article mainly studied the Tang-style garden as the research object,Tang-culture display as a research perspective, combining the Tang Dynasty garden design style of field research and modern garden with Tang culture of Xi’an City, from the aspects of the design style, Tang style garden technique, principle to carry on the analysis, summarized the inheritance and protection of Tang-style garden culture of the Tang Dynasty and demonstrate effective means and make feasible suggestions on the future development trend of Xi’an Tang-style garden construction.With Tang-style garden design,I get the following understanding: The primary purpose of Tang-style garden construction is the essence of Tang culture inheritance.We should pay attention to the cultural essence and cultural integrity into the design to avoid repeated design; The primary task of Tang-style garden construction is Tang-culture content display. In the design process, we should avoid culture confusion,giving Tang culture original show; The first premise of Tang style garden construction is to protect the Tang site. Due to non-renewable of cultural sites, we should pay attention to proper development and protection of key combination. At present, parks of historic site are the best protection form. The technical basis of Tang-style garden construction is coalescent. Because of the irreversible nature of culture era, a lot of technology cannot be copied. we can combine the ancient architectural technology with modern to create a Tang-style garden in the modern society.
