With the development of information, intelligence and automation technology, more and more manufacturing enterprises choose CAX, PDM, MES and other advanced manufacturing systems to improve their production capacity and efficiency. These systems greatly increase the manufacturing capacity and accelerate the development of enterprises. At the same time, the use of these heterogeneous systems also brings some troubles to enterprises, makes it difficult to transfer information between the various departments, hindering the development of enterprises. In order to solve the bottleneck problem of information transmission between the design departments as well as design and manufacturing departments, this paper takes a marine diesel engine manufacturing enterprises as the object and establishes a unified platform for collaborative design and manufacturing.This paper focuses on the collaborative manufacturing system of a manufacturing enterprise for a large marine diesel engine manufacturing enterprise. This paper is supported by the major projects of “General design and information integration technology of collaborative manufacturing for marine diesel engine” and “Integration technology of MES for marine diesel”(2013JX598F). The research work of this paper mainly includes the following aspects:(1) According to the industrial characteristics and enterprise status quo of the diesel engine manufacturing industry, this paper constructs an overall architecture of the diesel key-module collaborative manufacturing platform. Based on the present situation information research and the design and manufacturing system to the target enterprise, this paper analyzes the needs of the collaborative manufacturing platform, then, builds the diesel collaborative manufacturing platform and analyzes its key technologies.(2) According to the analysis for the design process and design system of products(mainly for CAD, CAPP, CAM), this paper puts forward the CAD/CAPP/CAM integration solutions based on the product data management(PDM) system. This paper expounds the integration method and integrated information for PDM/CAD, PDM/CAPP and PDM/CAM. On the basis of PDM and 3C integration. This paper also introduces production simulation system innovatively. The production simulation system simulates the production decision and process route of the products before product launch, improves the whole design of the collaborative manufacturing system.(3) According to the analysis for the current situation of scene information collection, this paper proposes an effective scene information collection scheme, aiming at the actual demand of enterprises. This paper adopts the integration of the CAPP system and MES system to integrate site information and process planning information through the comparison and analysis between the systems. This paper analyzes the XML based data interchange format between CAPP and MES integration solutions. This paper analyzes the integration solutions based on the CAPP and the MES systems, which regard XML as intermediate data exchange format.(4) According to the part modeling, process design, processing simulation, production system simulation and shop fabrication experiments on the collaborative manufacturing platform for connecting rod, which is a key part of diesel, this paper proves the feasibility of the collaborative manufacturing platform.
