| The rise and development of Geographic Information Systems(Referred to as GIS)since the sixties of last century, expands a new way for analysis of topographic maps for space applications.With Chinese construction of information technology development, it plays an increasingly important role in the defense industry, urban planning, geological exploration and other fields, and the practical application of GIS to store large amounts of data has become increasingly widespread.Through the integrated use of the underlying database and GIS, the computer as a powerful data collection, storage, analysis and application tool,through the use of GIS for the management of simple sense of surface targets encoding, storage and retrieval, has rise to the height of spatial analysis and processing,and furthermore, the basis for decision-making applications.Its stored data, has been considered as a mode of expression of the natural environment.These data are not static storage,but dynamically updated, accessed,converted,and anteracted,and as the basic of environmental engineering research, development trend analysis,and planning decisions estimate.Taking satellite highway east extension planning project as an example,through GIS topographic maps, arcgis applications and the underlying database information processing carrier,the article reasonably deploys the project earthwork calculations and queries, and provides economic data For engineering staff to make the right and reasonable engineering decision. |
