This article designs a new electronic throttle pedal by improving the existing product. Compare with the existing one, new sensor has these advantages: higher production efficiency, lower scrap rate and lower manufacture cost. New sensor removes the expensive conductive ink, removes ultrasonic clean process, conductive ink printing process and conductive ink stove process. It saves the consuming material and reduces the scrap rate during manufacturing. This article describes the principle and manufacturing process of the contacted electronic throttle position sensor, detailed the processes of ink manufacture, ink printing, resistance correction and heat stake. Base on the analysis of current processes, this article finds a way that designs a new PCB to replace existing plastic substrate to remove the conductive ink printing process. And designs and makes a new body for the PCB, assembly them together to build a sensor sample part finally. And use the existing test equipment to check the sample.The primary contents in this article as follows:(1) Learn and analysis the current product, including designs and processes, to find the problem during manufacturing, including efficiency and scrap rate.(2) Define the improving plan that design new substrate and main body to remove the conductive ink printing process.(3) Use Protel DXP to design the single PCB.And use CAM350 to design PCB panel so that to improve production efficiency. Use Solidworks to design new main body.(4) Use a 3D printer to make main body sample and purchase PCB samples from supplier. And build a product sample with the new design process.(5) Use existing function test equipment to check sample. And compare the costs between the new sensor and existing one.
