Resistance correction mechanism is the chief component of the one-dimensional trajectory correction fuze. Its structure design and performance characteristics have important influence on the form resistance coefficient of the projectile, flight stability, range correction ability and hitting accuracy. On the basis of sufficiently analyzing resistance correction mechanism of the one-dimensional trajectory correction fuze both at home and abroad, this article presents the technical plan of resistance correction mechanism of flexible outside material supported by the rigid support according to the special operation environment for the medium and large caliber HE, which not only retains the advantages of flexible resistance mechanism such as large resistance area, quick starting, good synchronization and small disturbance to trajectory, but also the rigid support solves the supporting problem.By the structural design, analytical calculation and dynamic simulation, this article has proved the structural feature, function principle and feasibility of the parachute resistance mechanism generally. Through dynamic simulation, the resistance characteristics of this resistance mechanism after resistance mechanism deployment at 0.8~3 Mach number has obtained, which provides the theory foundation for the one-dimensional trajectory correction fuze for the medium and large caliber HE.According to the operation background and environmental condition of the one-dimensional trajectory correction fuze for medium and large caliber HE, test and research have been conducted; the environmental adaptability, logistic handling safety, the reliability of trajectory timing function and correction ability of the parachute resistance mechanism have been verified. The result indicates that the principle of designed parachute resistance correction mechanism is feasible, and the correction ability can reach 1/37 of trajectory range, which provides the test foundation for this mechanism application in the one-dimensional trajectory correction fuze for the medium and large caliber HE.
