Rotary-vector reducer is a new type of transmission used in industrial robot joints,compared to traditional harmonic reducer,its application advantages in the field of high precision transmission has became more evident,owns huge marketing prospect.Our country’s research on RV reducer started late,the reducer we develped has a large gap with similar foreign products in the overall performance, besides, we has not really formed the capacity of mass production.This paper is based on The National High Technology Research and Development Program of China(863 Program):”Development and Application Demonstration of RV Reducer Used in Robots”,studies on the quality control of RV reducer. The main work and achievements of this paper are as follows:(1) Based on the analysis of product structure and manufacturing process of RV reducer, put forword to combine use of QFD and Taguchi methods,controling quality in product design stage,to improve the design quality of RV reducer.(2) Analysed the design quality of RV reducer based on QFD.Started from the voice of customer, applied QFD technology to build the product planning house of quality.Quantified the relationship between customers needs and product characteristics; assessed the market competitiveness and technological competitiveness, found out the RV product target performance design with the max customer satisfaction,to give directions for the product design and quality improvement.(3) Improvement of transmission accuracy on RV reducer with Taguchi Methods.With transmission accuracy most customers concerned about,analysed the error source and transmission chain of reducer, research on the impact of manufacturing errors of the core components to the transmission error.by making tests in taguchi methods,the major factor and optimal parts parameter combination were found out,which supply theoretical basis for research on improving reducer transmission accuracy.(4) Analysed the manufacturing quality of RV reducer based on QFD.Continue deploying product quality to parts configuration, process planning and production control, analysed the reducer requirements for the characteristics of core components,the difficulities and the critical procedures of manufacturing process, carried out the corresponding quality control measures.Because the whole research process involves many contents, such as product structure,manufacturing process,quality improvement,quality control, many details need to be further improved,I hope this paper could be helpful for improving the design and manufacturing capacity in the field of RV reducer,breaking the situation of entirely dependent on imports,realizing our own RV reducer’s mass production.
