As an important component of green manufacturing, remanufacturing is an effective way to solve the shortage of resources and the environmental pollution problems. The hydraulic cylinder is the key component of engineering machinery, which is high value-added. Each year a huge number of hydraulic cylinders have to be scrapped as a result of invalid. Remanufacturing of hydraulic cylinders has broad economic, resources, environmental and social benefits.To research the performance of remanufacturing hydraulic cylinder, this paper develops a comprehensive test system which integrates type test and conditions simulation test. The hydraulic principle, mechanical structure and electric control system are designed. By combining AMESim simulation and experiment, the impact of test methods and test conditions on the test data is determined. A detection method is proposed for the performance of remanufacturing hydraulic cylinder. The typical faults of hydraulic cylinders are researched, the characteristic parameters are extracted, and the fault diagnosis of remanufacturing hydraulic cylinders is achieved. The main contents are as follows:In chapter Ⅰ, the conception of remanufacturing engineering and the prospects of remanufacturing hydraulic cylinders are put forward. The goal and the main contents are presented.In chapter Ⅱ, the mathematical models of valve controlled asymmetrical cylinder and pump control asymmetrical cylinder are derived. The test program of valve-pump series is used to solve the problem of inefficiency and fast temperature rising in the traditional test systems.In chapter Ⅲ, the design of mechanical structure, hydraulic circuit and electronic control system are completed for the remanufacturing hydraulic cylinders.In chapter Ⅳ, the starting pressure characteristic test, the minimum steady speed test and the internal leakage test are analyzed in AMESim. A comprehensive performance testing bench is set up.In chapter Ⅴ, a test method is proposed for the performance of remanufacturing hydraulic cylinder through experimental study. The typical faults of hydraulic cylinders are researched and the characteristic parameters are extracted. The fault diagnosis of remanufacturing hydraulic cylinders is achieved.In chapter VI, the researches of this paper are concluded and the future researches are put forward.
