Seal leakage and seal wear is the main cause of seal failure, Seal leakage will not only result in the movement disorder of the entire system, reducing the work efficiency, and also having an impact on the environment. Now many experts and scholars from home and abroad study on the failure mechanism of the hydraulic seal and leakage reasons on the theory and practice, made many achievements in scientific research, in a sense, also contributed to the development and progress of the elastic hydraulic seal technology.The paper firstly simple expound the design theory of efficiency-reinforcement, the concepts and methods of the coupled fluid mechanics, deformation mechanics, and contact mechanics analyses, the finite element analysis. Propose the problems and trends of the elastic hydraulic sealing technology.Proposing design theory and method of efficiency-reinforcement using ideal solution module and the substance field model of TRIZ theory. Simultaneously analyzed from two aspects of the structural parameters and operating parameters. Optimized structural parameters and operating parameters are both efficiency design principles. Provide guidance for the research of efficiency-reinforcement design.The sealing principle, the main performance, the main failure reasons of Y sealing ring, and solutions have been comprehensive studied, the efficiency-reinforcement principle and failure mechanism of elastic hydraulic sealing are explored. According to the failure modes and failure influence factors, and put forward the corresponding efficiency-reinforcement measures. Provide theoretical methods for the study of the efficiency-reinforcement principle and failure mechanism of elastic hydraulic sealing.This paper establish finite element model of the Y elastic sealing ring. The deformation and contact pressure of Y sealing ring were analyzed and studied by using finite element analysis software ANSYS. The change relations of the contact pressure with oil pressure were obtained, the change rule between the performance and the structural parameters was found. According to the analysis results, the seal work parameters and structure parameters are optimized, and obtained optimal solution.The mathematical model of the elastic hydraulic sealing is established. The calculation results are obtained through the analysis of the finite element and the programming of mathematical calculation software MATLAB. And draw out the pressure distribution curve, oil film thickness distribution curve, and the shear stress distribution curve, calculate the value of the leakage. Determine the rationality of the optimization design of the elastic seal.
