In our country the pavement structural layers of high-grade highways commonly adopt forms of structure of semi-rigid base and asphalt concrete coating. The reflection crack is one of the common diseases to the road. Under the action of vehicle load, the crack rapidly expands into penetratin crack, the pavement is damaged, the service performance and life are affected seriously. The roads are damaged seriously by this kind of disease because of a large temperature difference and a poor conditions in seasonal frost regions. In the process of strength forming, the desiccation crack of pavement reflection crack easily emerged on the surface of the road base that composed of the semi-rigid base materials. This is the fundamental source of pavement reflection crack. Asphalt rubber gravel seal coat which is set between road base and asphalt pavement is a new material between the layers. It possesses many performances, just as water-resistance properties, bond property, stress relief, the anti-reflective cracking ability and so on. The applying of crumb tire rubber can solve the problem of black pollution caused by discarded tires. It is accord with the principle of salvaged materials and environment friendly that required by current community.The paper study technology in research at the asphalt rubber gravel seal coat based on climate conditions and transportation of Ji Lin province. First, the paper summarizes the type, technical and scope, proposes technically demanding of the materials and then make sure single seal coat and inverted seal coat as study of the type. Generation mechanism of reflective crack development in asphalt pavement and the prevention mechanism of reflective cracks are analyzed to make sure that asphalt rubber gravel seal coat is preventing the half rigidity basic level pitch road surface from reflecting effective measure of crack. After studying the manufacturing processes and the requirement of the raw material quality technical, the main factors affecting rubber asphalt properties are determined. The mixture ratio of materials was used to make a set of specimens to measure the effect of the asphalt macadam seal coat. And on this basis, the better performance for structure type of rubber asphalt macadam seal was selected, contrast the test results to survey the effect of the asphalt macadam seal coat in seasonally frozen regions. Finally, the construction technological process and quality control of the synchronous pavement surface dressing are studied, the themethod of evaluation for the quality control of asphalt rubber gravel seal coat is came forward.
