In recent years, with the rapid development of the domestic economy, car ownership showed a trend of rapid growth. With the rapid increase in demand for parking spaces, parking difficulty has become one of the main problems, hindering the development of urban transport. Traditional guidance systems mostly based on vehicle equipment. They are expensive with single function. Traditional guide mode is lagging behind, the owner needs to be guided through the signs at the entrance. The internal distribution of free parking spaces is also unknown to the driver.To solve problems above, this paper designed and implemented a kind of parking guidance client software based on Android mobile phone, built a large, polymeric cloud database, designed data structure and interface. With data collect system set up in parking lots, it could provide dependable, real-time data. The system uses mobile application development technology, data transmission technology and database management techniques. This paper raised a method, which connect cloud server database through WebServices, instead of common ways using third-party data interface. Data is comprehensive, accurate, real-time and it could really cater to customer needs. Independently design and development an Android application based on the integrated development environment consists of Eclipse, JDK, Android SDK and ADT, completed UI layer, business logic layer and data transmission interface layer. The client software contains friendly human-machine interface, has three functional modules:positioning, search and navigation, provides a full range of queries and guide services. Principles of high cohesion and low coupling make it highly scalability and portability.After development, real test on Android phone has been conducted. Test results show that the software fully achieve the desired function, can successfully invoke the map control handle, get parking lot data, fit different type of screen view and could run smoothly and stably. This system comes up with an intelligent solution for the great trouble of urban traffic, has practical significance and promotional value.
