In the process of urban construction, the importance of public lighting system can’t be ignored. In recent years, with the development of embedded technology, wireless communication and lighting technology, various forms of urban lighting remote monitoring program was put forward in domestic and foreign cities. Compared to traditional lighting technology, LED lighting technology is more efficient, green, and practical. And good remote monitoring platform can effectively improve the timeliness and efficiency of LED lighting management. As an important part of the LED lighting system, the remote monitoring software platform is a key factor to ensure the LED lighting system works more efficiently. Refer to the research results of domestic and foreign, A remote monitoring software platform of LED lighting system based on IOCP, Multi-thread, GIS, data base and wireless communication was designed in this paper.The main contents and achievements are as follows:(1) IOCP, Multi-thread, GIS, data base and wireless communication were analyzed in the paper, those technologies were integrated in the remote monitoring software platform of the city LED lighting system which has integrated innovative characteristic.(2) According to the overall system requirements and functional logic, the overall program of the city LED lighting system was designed. In order to construct a more reasonable structure, the existing research results were comparative analyzed and structure of the monitoring center which comprised software platform layer, hub layer and control terminal layer was proposed in the paper.(3) According to the functional and performance requirements of LED lighting control system, an efficient protocol for the communication among the control terminal and hub and monitoring center was designed. The real-time and reliability of communication was took into consideration.(4) Based on the analysis of the software platform function requirements, the data base server, communication server and user controller terminal of the remote monitoring software platform were designed. The construction and programming of data base server, communication server software and user control terminal of LED lighting system remote monitoring software platform were realized.(5) A remote light controller simulation software was designed. The software platform was debugged and tested by sending and receiving software simulation heartbeat and data packets. The speed and response of the software platform was verified in this paper.
