With modern vehicle companies pay great attention to the respective brand style design, different design and performance of the model is only suitable for the configuration design of automotive dashboard panel, to hold on to the faithful user groups, and even attract more potential customers, in order to improve the market share of the brand, moreover along with the development of the auto intelligent trend, vehicle intelligent instrument of increasingly popular trend, therefore, how to make the car dashboard panel in a highly intelligent display does not reduce the display output efficiency at the same time, can try to reduce the driver’s visual load again, make the pilot clear, accurate and timely to easily observed vehicle’s gauge and to get more information, is the key point to the evaluation of the current vehicle dashboard design.Aiming to satisfy the car dashboard’s design philosophy and trend, this paper fully studies the standard dashboard panel’s visual cognition, combining eye measurement information of evaluation standard, estabilish a set of standardized venue and simulator experiment method, and carries out the test on different kinds of automotive dashboard panel, eye tracking technology is used to capture the driver to gaze the road ahead and then to gaze the car’s dashboard panel to obtain vehicle’s state information in the process of the eye movement pattern,then put the eye movement indixes such as fixation time and scanning time data,with quantitatives method to evaluate the pros and cons of the automotive dashboard panel design.In the real vehicle eye movement experiment, by expanding the existing models of real vehicle eye movement’s experiment test, and the direction of gaze,head of the eyemovement index’s position,left eyes and right eyes location, the pupil diameter,fixation time,the parameters of the scanning time by putting hundreds of frame data imported into the programming in Matlab software,and finally draw the pattern of the visualizations to describe the various parameters of the actual changes in eye movement experiment,analyza drivers’ constructive significance,concluded and summarized the experience, then laid the eye tracking technology of exploration, and eye movement experiment for future simulator experiment to make sufficient preparations of the whole.The eye movement experiment on simulator, by expanding vehicles’ dashboard panel sample sizes.,automotive instrument decorate a form eye movement test, car instrument dial color test,the testers’ fixation and saccade time,the task’s total time for statistical descripyion,per capital effective tests’ data are dealed with the SPSS software to obtain single factor analysis of variency,the independent sample tests’ data and various types of instrument is compared between different groups,to analyze the drivers of the evaluating standard of different vehicles’ dashboard panel’s agreeableness standard level.The simulator tests not only make up for the real vehicle tests’ operational trivals,less sample sizes,limited the scope of test defects,but also provide more comprehensive and effective for the design of the car dashboard panel of the objective basis and theoretical support,thus to provide the designer with the specific product development of constructive suggestions.
