The dramatically increase of the domestic manufacturing companies caused intensive market competition recently.In order to occupy the market,companies need to continuously reduce their production costs.Workshop layout planning is an important factor in the production and operation of an enterprise.A reasonable workshop layout can effectively improve product production efficiency,ensure product quality and reduce labor costs,thereby achieving the goal of reducing costs and improving benefits for the enterprise.Therefore,the optimization of the layout for workshop is significant and valuable for the development of the enterprise.This article takes the layout of the dashboard workshop of S company as the research object.Firstly,summarizing the domestic and foreign research status of workshop layout problems,introducing the current status of dashboard workshops and analyzing the problems of layout.Secondly,in response to the existing problems,the Systematic Layout Planning method(SLP)is used to analyze the logistics and non-logistics relationships between the processing areas of the workshop.After obtaining the comprehensive logistics correlation diagram,the Tompkins relationship table method is used to rearrange the layout of the workshop and the new layout plans are regarded as the initial population of genetic algorithm.Then,minimizing material transportation cost and maximizing non-logistics relationship are taken as the objective function to establish the workshop layout optimization mathematical model.The genetic algorithm is used to solve this model and output the corresponding optimized layout plan and the corresponding processing area coordinate.Finally,Flexsim simulation software is used to simulate the original and optimized workshop layout and obtain the machine utilization rate and the proportion of operator handling time.The above two items and qualitative principles are regarded as the evaluation indexes for the workshop.The gray correlation evaluation method is used to evaluate and rank the workshop layout plan and select the best layout plan based on the above indexes.The optimized workshop layout scheme effectively reduces the logistics intensity,product transportation distance and the proportion of operators’ handling time and better improves the efficiency of machine utilization rate.
