In order to the rapid development of technologies in automobile electronics, CAN bus, flat-panel display and electric vehicle, the car dashboard based on flat-panel monitors will be widely used due to such merits as condensed size, high reliability, strong anti-interference ability, high accuracy, large information capacity, easy operation, energy-saving and environmental friendly. Therefore, the research on flat-paneled electric automobile technology is great practical significance.The simulation and design for the dashboard of electric vehicle based on associated technologies and the Advantech WebAccess software platform developed by Yanhua Corporation consists of software and hardware module. The software platform provides DrawDAQ tools for drawing dashboard monitoring interface and TCL script language editor for programming which are used by the simulation system to realize the simulation of monitoring process such as speed, mileage, temperature, indicator lamps in an electric vehicle. Besides, it also realizes the simulation of battery status, remaining power, range, motor temperature and fault information. The system is based on network framework and has the feature of monitoring and controllability. This system can be used to construct a larger system as one of its nodes. Researchers and electric vehicles manufacturers can also get help to track and test the performance of electric vehicles with this system. A hardware system design is proposed according to the product catalogue by Yanhua Corporation and the principle of space-saving and extension-convenience.This dashboard program with the characteristic of right, reasonable and comprehensive function design, has better value in practical application.
