Evaporative air conditioning technology is now widely used in residential and public buildings, but the size of the water consumption has not been determined.in the current situation of water shortage,Study of evaporative air conditioning units’ water consumption is meaningful from both the development of evaporative technology itself and water conservation.Evaporative technology divided into direct and indirect evaporative technology. Mainly in the form direct evaporative conditioning concludes evaporative fans and evaporative air conditioners.Indirect evaporative cooling concludes riser tubular cooler and horizontal tubular cooler.First, we choose different form of representative units to test.According to the test of an evaporative air cooler, this test is mainly for its water consumption; Water consumption is respectively proportional to its let-in dry-bulb temperature,the temperature difference between wet and dry bulb,the difference between imports and exports at low speed.In moderate speed 2m / s operation, its water consumption is the lowest.By testing its water consumption indicators and influencing factors,we can infer direct evaporative water consumption, to have guiding significance for the late direct evaporative water consumption study.An evaporative cooling chiller in Da Liuta electricity plant can reduce the temperature of the circulating water. Its water consumption were tested and analyzed.Under the test condition, its water consumption range during runtime is 260-350kg/h; The minimum water consumption257.6kg/h corresponding to the winds ratio 0.5;The circulating water flow and water consumption is linearly proportional relationship, when recycled water is from 6m3/h to 15m3/h, water consumption from 233kg/h to 339.2kg/h.According to the test of horizontal tube type indirect evaporative cooling,we can get its water consumption and influencing factors. Compare vertical tube type indirect evaporative cooling with the horizontal tube type indirect evaporative cooling on the efficiency and the secondary air to primary air ratio;The water consumption of different evaporative cooling equipment is summarized, which provides reference for engineeringapplication.Secondly,we elect five calculation method applying to evaporative cooling equipment referring to the cooling tower vaporizing losing calculation method.The methods are applied to caculate three actual engineering tested.And it compared the calculated results with the actual results and analysised the cause of the error.The result is preliminarily draw to the actual result, which uses the air volume and the moisture content difference between the import and export.It can be used to caculate the vaporizing losing exactly.From the cooling capacity and energy conservation, the calculation formula for water consumption of evaporative cooling is derived, and the calculation formula of water consumption for direct evaporative cooling and indirect evaporative cooling are obtained. By comparing the calculation results with the actual test results, the formula can be used to calculate the water consumption in the design stage of evaporative cooling.Fianlly,the evaporative air conditioning units’ water consumption influencing factors and saving measures are analyzed from factors such as the unit volume,outdoor meteorological parameters, water quality, water spraying consistency, cooling capacity by qualitative and quantitative analysis; And based on this analysis, proposed water-saving measures of evaporative air conditioning units. It provide the basis for the future research study and engineering application.
