With the development of economy and the acceleration of urbanization, the development of urban rail transit in China is very rapid. Urban rail transit vehicle regenerative braking technology can save energy, and accord with the requirements of the national energy-saving and emission reduction policy. But the utilization rate of regeneration braking energy is low, a lot of energy is consumed by resistance, and increased the ventilation casual thermal burden. Therefore, study regenerative braking energy utilization technology and improve regeneration of braking energy utilization rate, which follow the direction of the development of urban rail transit. The study on utilization of regeneration braking energy has very important significance and practical value.First of all, the paper discusses the background and significance of the study, analyze and compare the main scheme and characteristics of the urban rail transit vehicle regenerative braking energy technology. The principle and function of energy feedback traction power supply device are similar to the traditional diode rectifier unit, this paper analyze output characteristics of the diode rectifier unit and the energy feedback traction power supply device, whose stabilized voltage characteristic and drooping characteristic of can be used in conjunction with a traditional rectifier unit and realize the function of traction power supply and regenerative energy absorption.Secondly, the paper study methods of urban rail transit train traction calculation and power calculation to calculate of train position and speed at different times, by the train section method to calculate the voltage, the power, and the energy of the substation. The paper analyzes the changes of power supply network topology, simulates two typical cases. The simulation results show that the optimization configuration of energy feedback traction power supply device in a typical vehicle parameters need to consider the vehicle speed and factors such as operation mode. Choose different equipment capacity to coordinate with the traction rectifier unit, to meet the demand of urban rail transit traction power supply and regenerative braking energy.
