With the development of the times, people have more expectations on the planning and construction of university campus. There are a lot of buildings which were completed in the early time in the universities. The old buildings not only have a wide disparity with the new ones, but also increasingly unable to meet the requirements for the comfortable environment of learning and working. As a word,there are many problems that need to be solved. But many of these buildings have a high cultural and historical value. Their existence plays an important role in the formation of the campus context and cultural environment. If the demolition happens, it will bring irreparable loss. So it is imperative to reuse the construction of the University buildings. Zhiyuanlou, which is located in Nanjing University of Science and Technology, is listed in these buildings.Zhiyuanlou is located in the main line of campus, and it is the highest and most representative building. It was built about eighty by the end of the 1990s. Its current structure is concrete frame structure and its facade is decorated with brick as a building for experiment and office use. It bears great historical and cultural significance. After the baptism of time, the facade of the building has been too old to match its location and image. Therefore, it needs to be reformed to improve the overall quality of the building itself and the campus. This design takes the facade renovation design of the main building in Nanjing University of Science and Technology as an example to find some laws for the facade renovation of old buildings. Preliminary design, through structure calculation, we conclude that the structure can not be reinforce, so we must ensure the completion of the transformation of facade under the premise of no increase in load. Therefore, focusing on the choice of materials and structure of the wall. In addition, in order to promote use experience quality, I repalce the window, the air-conditioning system something about the current fire codes. Finally, in response to the call of green energy-saving building, the design results are verified by calculation Brownsville energy saving.This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction part, mainly introduces the situation of the project, the design of the purpose and significance, research contents and methods of design and the main content and framework. The second chapter makes a field investigation on the project, which contains the target and its surrounding buildings. The third chapter is the study part. The fourth chapter is about the design results. The fifth chapter is the last one of this paper, and also a research focus in the design of the wall structure design.The whole thesis contains about 11000 words,58 pictures and charts.
