Through making a study of the Fengshui application of Chinese buddhist temple gardens. The author use some methods of looking up literature,interviewing and discussing, on-the-spot investigation and then make generalizations to clarify the impact of the Fengshui thought in site selection, space layout and plants selection of Chinese buddhist temple gardens. Then analysising its theoretical connotation and scientifically explaining its special internal essence. Showing the Fengshui culture expressed by the buddhist temple gardens and studying the Fengshui environmental effects of buddhist temple gardens. Attempt to promote the study and protection of Fengshui theory in academia.Fengshui should be a subject of "Environmental Sciences" and "Space Layout Theory", Its a simple view of nature and empiricism concluded by Chinese ancient people. Now many theories of Fengshui still should be used by designers, viewed from the modern science point. Obeying the law of nature people will get favorable climatic and geographic conditions-and vice versa. But everything has two sides, The Fengshui theory has its principle but is not the truth. Only construing the theory reasonablely and discarding the dross then selecting the essence can it provide the motivation for the construction of Landscape with Chinese characters.
